We have a family cottage at a small lake in Southern Michigan. We have owned this for six years and in that time we have done quite a bit of work. There was no water or bathroom then. A friend, Frank Thomas, and I dug the crawl space by hand and built the added room. I have pictures of the progress that we did without changing the look of the cottage. This was a family project that involved everyone in my immediate family and many other family members. Our lake is the only lake in Southern Michigan to have a pair of Loons that return every summer. Also Sandhill Cranes and Herons that make this lake a much loved place by the year around and summer residents.
